This week, we hear about Matthew 10:24–39 where God’s people are called to endure risky lives for the sake of an eternal reward found only in Him. Jesus clearly acknowledged that following Him involves risking the safety, security, and satisfaction we have found in this world. But in the end, Jesus said that following Him leads to a radical reward this world can never offer. The key to taking back your faith from the American dream is realizing and believing this world is not your home.  As a church, we will contrast the risk involved in living for God with the reward He promises all those who do so. We will personally decide whether or not we will surrender to live in radical pursuit of God’s ultimate reward regardless of risk.  “For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come."  Hebrews 13:14
